What is the command of Linux equivalent to Windows’s “ipconfig /renew” command? You need to use Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Client i.e., dhclient command. We also need to run dhclient as root with the sudo command, because changing the system networking configuration requires escalated. Type ipconfig /renew at the prompt window, press Enter, wait for a while, the DHCP server will assign a new IP address for your computer.
